    VI. Study “Exceeding Expectations.” A two-year study conducted by the Butler School on Aging at Columbia University. Researchers followed daily lives of 20 people, all over 80 years, who were diverse as to income, race, sex, and physical capability. The study found that they had successful and meaningful lives and they shared these attributes.
